Being an Ambassador of
the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce offers you a unique
opportunity. You will be able to meet with Chamber member decision makers on a
professional basis while helping your Chamber meet its goal of personally
contacting each Chamber member to improve the membership experience and support
retention.
As a volunteer for
The Ambassadors, motivation to be successful is important. Simply put, a
volunteer must want to be successful and should exhibit a sincere willingness
to volunteer. A positive attitude is a must.
The Greater
Franklin County Chamber of Commerce invites you to be proud of the fact that
you are important and a welcomed member of the Chamber’s Premier Volunteer
Organization.
For your
involvement and efforts, you will receive recognition within your firm, and
throughout the Franklin County business and professional community.
You will also find
out that, through your Ambassador experience, you will gain numerous business
contacts and share in a special fellowship with other volunteers and business
leaders.
Goal of the
Ambassador program
The goal of the
program is to increase the retention rate of new and existing members. We
accomplish this by several ways, all of which focus on relationship management.
All Ambassadors are
expected to keep in touch with their assigned members, to ensure they connect
their members with Chamber sponsored events that would be a good match or
create value for the chamber member. Both in person and phone calls are an
important element to encourage goodwill and highlight the benefit of Chamber
membership. You are expected to increase members’ knowledge about programs,
services, and benefits of the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce; and
keeping the channels of communications open between the membership and the
Chamber’s Board of Directors.
