We invite you to join us for our annual Lunch and Learn programs sponsored by:

YABA (Youngsville Area Business Association)

Though we are not able to meet in person for the Lunch and Learn programs, we have a great series of virtual classes designed for you by VGCC Small Business Center.  These virtual classes are at no cost to you and cover many topics relevant to today’s business climate.   We invite you to participate in as many classes as you would like.   As always, we want to bring you information to help you be successful.

First Wednesday of every month, 12-1 pm

February 3 – “Finding Money for Your Business Post COVID”
COVID has changed a lot of things related to financing for small business. There are numerous new programs available as well as new restrictions. If you think you might need a business loan now or at any point in your future, you will learn all you need to be prepared to do so. Find out what business lenders are looking for in today’s business environment and how you can know when you’re ready to apply for a loan.

March 3 – “Upping Your Sales Game Plan for 2021”
Having a good location, a good product or a number of other positives about your business is only half the equation. Customers must be willing to BUY and you must know how to SELL! Selling is a skill and this session will help you make sure you are equipped to get your customers to spend money!

April 7 – “Using Email to Win Business”
If you’re new to email marketing and would like to learn more about it, this session will show you! From setting up your account to building a mailing list and creating an email campaign, learn how to use email to market your business more effectively to customers and potential clients.

May 5 – “Researching and Analyzing Your Market to Grow Your Business”
You may have some great ideas for your business, but have you determined whether there really is a market for your product or service? This workshop will help you think about your competition as well as who your customers are and what they really want. Determining your market potential is a critical piece of the puzzle and this session will help you do that.

June 2 – “Making an Offer They Can’t Refuse”

Learn the art of selling your product, your service and yourself! Contrary to popular opinion, selling isn’t as much about gimmicks, presentations and sales speeches as it is about listening and getting to know what your customer really wants. Learn valuable skills on how to listen to the customer and communicate clearly the benefits of what you can offer them.
